2012 Aug 08 â Study Skills- Dr. Narayanaâs Institute of Hotel Management, Alwal, Secunderabad.
Dr. Narayanaâs Institute of Hotel Management, Alwal, Secunderabad, organized a seminar for their 1st year students on Study Skills. The session was held by Prof. V. Viswanadham, i.e. myself.
After obtaining the consent of the students, I have liberally used Telugu, along with English.
Study Skills are required for motivating the students to become better students. Unless people get motivated, we cannot hope to have inspired and contributing citizens. Motivating the students to become better students, so that they can later become better managers, and better citizens, is the purpose of the lecture.
The live recording of the speech is being uploaded here. A power point presentation, titled Study Skills was used on the occasion.
The power point presentation was in English, but the lecture was predominantly in Telugu. A modified version of my usual presentation was used. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the exact version I have used, kindly send a mail to: Viswam.email@example.com
The live recording of the speech can be listened to / downloaded, by visiting www.archive.org and searching for Prof. V. Viswanadham. The power point presentations used can be viewed at www.scribd.com and search for Viswam.vangapally4581, and / or www.slideshare.net/viswanadham.
The participants were also informed that they can freely download and read 7 booklets, published by POOLABATA, 2 in English and 5 in Telugu, from www.archive.org â please search for POOLABATA.
Each time the presentation is made, as a teacher, I ensure that right from the introduction to the development of the theme, it is done differently, the examples are appropriate to the audience, the language style, and the mixture of local language, some times with local accent, â an attempt is made to create a unique blend. This is being mentioned, so as to make it clear that you may not feel bored or disinterested, and by listening to two or more lectures on the same topic, presented before different audiences, at various places, you may actually obtain a better insight into the scope of the topic.
It is humbly suggested that you may please use the power point presentations, freely. Please feel free to refer to these websites to your friends and motivate them to become better, continuously. Please help me to spread the motivating message to as many people as possible.
Your feedback will be highly appreciated. You may please give your feedback to: Viswam.firstname.lastname@example.org.
